Lynchburg, Va. -- Lynchburg College will welcome Olympian and American record-holder Molly Huddle to campus on Thursday, Sept. 21 ahead of her special guest appearance at the Genworth Virginia 10 Miler.

Huddle will speak beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Sydnor Performance Center at Schewel Hall, discussing what inspired one of the greatest distance running careers for any American female.

The 33-year-old remains one of the most competitive American runners, competing in her second Olympics in 2016, where she finished sixth and set the American record in the 10,000-meter run in the Rio de Janeiro Games. She won the New York City Half Marathon for the third consecutive time this past spring.
