Lynchburg’s lone senior on the men’s golf team, Hill City native Branson Terrell, started the season off right with a even-par round of 70 at the rain-shortened Greene Turtle Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah University. Tying a collegiate best for a round is enough to be Hornet of the Week. Let’s meet Branson:

Major: Economics (with financial emphasis)

Career Aspirations: Financial Analyst

Coke or Pepsi? Pepsi

Chipotle or Moe's? Chipotle

Apple or Android? Apple

Twitter or Instagram? Instagram

What is your favorite restaurant in Lynchburg? Poke-E-Joe’s BBQ

What is your spirit animal? My friends think I look like a python, so I’ll go with that.

If someone could follow you and narrate your life for a day, who would it be? Evan Mason. He’s funny and has a great narrating voice.

Who do you most admire and why? My father, because he’s a role model to me and constantly shows me how important faith and family are.

If you had a superpower, what would it be? I’d have super strength because that would be dope.

Tell an embarrassing or funny story about yourself or your team (related to your sport). Last weekend at our first tournament, the first day got cancelled due to rain, so we decided to go bowling. Eventually it got to the point where we were trying to amuse ourselves by throwing the ball in funny ways. One of the guys did a half penguin dive/half belly flop onto the floor, busted his knee, and got a strike in the process.
