AMHERST, VA – The Lynchburg College athletic department gave back to the community Friday, as two groups of student-athletes and coaches worked at the United Way Golf Tournament at Poplar Grove Golf Club.

Hornet volunteers parked cars, cleaned carts, assisted golfers, set-up tables, served lunch, and other assorted tasks to help the event run smoothly.

Two groups worked Friday: the morning crew of women’s soccer coaches Dr. Todd Olsen and Tony Dulak, field hockey coaches Enza Steele and Caitlin Gibb, men’s lacrosse coaches Steve Koudelka, Andrew Wilfong, Jeff Schwartz, and Jon Lombardo, and track and field assistant coach Brandon Edwards.

The afternoon group consisted of baseball coaches Percy Abell, Chris Knowles, and Robert Garrett, women’s basketball coaches Abby Pyzik, Ben Sarraf, and Jenny Logan, women’s lacrosse coaches Bruce Reid, Alex Breiner, and Andrew Vigne, and assistant Sports Information Director Cody Clifton. The LC Director of Athletics, Dr. Jack Toms, worked both sessions.
