Miller Named ODAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

FOREST, VA – Lynchburg College sophomore Brandon Miller has been named Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Pitcher of the Week for his efforts on the mound this past week.

Miller started the first game for the Hornets in the Piedmont College Tournament, towing the rubber against #6 Birmingham Southern.

Miller turned out his second complete game in as many games pitched, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out seven Panthers in the 7-2 LC win.

The win over Birmingham Southern was the first on the year for the Hornets. Miller has now pitched a total of 15 innings while only allowing two earned runs for a 1.20 ERA. He has forced nine opposing batters to whiff at the plate against no walks.

Lynchburg College (2-3) will play its home opener on Tuesday against Stevenson University (0-0). First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
