Hylton Caps Off Season With All-State Honors

Newport News, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors finished up the All-State awards on Tuesday with the announcement of the Baseball honorees. Earning First Team All-State catcher was Lynchburg senior Will Hylton. The Fieldale, Va. native has also earned ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball All-Region selections as well as All-ODAC recognition.

The Exercise Physiology major was a mainstay behind the plate for the Hornets, starting 36 of the 38 games for the Crimson and Grey. He recorded a .361 average with five homeruns, four of which came in the month of April, 25 RBIs, and 17 extra base hits in 160 plate appearances. He also gunned down 15 runners trying to steal which was third best in the conference.
