Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg College baseball program and head coach Lucas Jones are happy to announce the 2018 slate of baseball camps.

Summer is right around the corner, and the Hornets baseball team invites children ages 5 to 13 to spend part of it, June 11-14, honing their skills on James C. Fox Field at the Lynchburg Baseball Youth Day Camp. The rate for Diamond Rats, campers ages 5 and 6, is $160 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Baseball Rats, campers between age 7-13, can register for $225. That age group will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The four-day camp includes instruction in hitting, pitching, and fielding from the award-winning coaching staff along with baseball players at Lynchburg College.

High school-aged ballplayers hoping to garner college interest are encouraged to register for Lynchburg's prospect camps. The Hornets will hold those on Aug. 8, Sept. 8-9, and Nov. 10-11. Rates for those camps are $150 for position players or pitchers and $200 for campers wishing to receive instruction at both.

Registration is now open for all 2018 camps. Please visit LynchburgBaseballCamps.com for more information or to register.
