Harrisburg, Pa. -- Lynchburg College senior Christina Antonucci (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) rode to a 10th-place finish in the Open Fences Thursday morning at the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association 2018 National Championship Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa.

She followed that with an honorable mention performance on the Open Flat to conclude her collegiate career.

For Antonucci, the fences ride was the highlight of the competition.

"I ended up being in the ribbons, which really was my goal," the senior said afterward. "Obviously I would have loved to do a little better, but I think I had a strong enough ride where I'm happy with it."

Antonucci finishes her career as one of the most decorated riders in Lynchburg history. A three-time qualifier for IHSA nationals, she was eighth in the IHSA Cacchione Cup standings as a junior. She won IHSA Zone 4 blue ribbons in both Open Flat and Open Fences earlier this season.

She was named Lynchburg's co-Female Athlete of the Year last weekend at the Lynchburg Sports Awards.
