Field Hockey Land 14 On The NFHCA National Academic Squad

Chandler, Arizona -- The Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad was announced on Thursday with 1,604 student-athletes making the list and 148 schools with representation.

The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad includes all student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or greater through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year. There were 208 members of the Division III National Academic Squad who were also named Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction on Thursday for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or greater through the first semester.

The Hornet recipients included Molly Carr, Hannah Chapman, Kayla Copeman, Abigail DeFino, Isabella Eldridge, Katelynn Fuhr, Ann Grotos, Mallory Henderson, Hannah Krause, Keely Lunsmann, Alyssa Mills, Lindsay Riley, Nikki Simpao, and Caroline Wilkerson. Mills was recognized as being a recipient of the award all four years of being a part of the Lynchburg Field Hockey program.
