LC Golf Competes at Shipbuilders Tourney

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - Due to the threat of inclement weather on Tuesday, two rounds were played Monday at the Glenn Heath Memorial Tournament and the Lynchburg College golf team finished fifth in the seven-team field.

The Newport News Apprentice School hosted the event at the Williamsburg Country Club. LC shot a team score of 660 over 36 holes, just four shots out of fourth place. Apprentice took home the team title with a 619.

Jeff Brochetti was the low scorer for LC, taking ninth overall with rounds of 80 and 78 on the par 72 course. Ned Jensen finished 14th with a combined 163 (83-80) and Bennett Owen tied for 19th with 169 (79-90). Scott Stevens fired a 174 and Nicolas Dalton had a 184.

Lynchburg will compete at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships April 27-29 at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa, Conover, NC.
