Lynchburg and Washington & Lee Set for ODAC Men's Lacrosse Championship

LYNCHBURG, VA – First-seeded Lynchburg College men's lacrosse is set to host six-seeded Washington and Lee University on Sunday for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship game at 1 p.m. on Shellenberger Field.

This is the third-straight appearance for the No.3 Hornets (16-1/7-0 ODAC) in the ODAC Championship game who are in pursuit of their fourth conference title. LC defeated Virginia Wesleyan College 14-6 in the semifinals to advance to the championship game.

Lynchburg is led by ODAC Player of the Year, junior Joseph Lisicky on defense and first-team All-ODAC selection senior Dylan Hoff on offense. LC earned a total of 11 All-Conference selections including senior goalie Franc Cook. Head mentor Steve Koudelka was named the conference coach of the year.

Washington and Lee comes into the championship game with a 10-8 overall record and a 3-4 mark in conference. The Generals are making their first appearance in the title game since 2009 when they won their ninth overall championship. W&L defeated Hampden-Sydney College in the quarterfinals and upset Roanoke College 13-8 in the semis.
