LC Men's Soccer Posts 4-0 Shutout of Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, VA – The Lynchburg College men's soccer team traveled to face Shenandoah University on Friday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup and came out on top 4-0. Lynchburg had a balanced offensive attack with four different goal scorers and four others that recorded assists.

LC was able to get on the board quickly in the first half, after sophomore Zack Miller found the back of the net with his first goal of the year at 17:42, assisted by junior Luke Moore. Lynchburg increased its lead moments later when sophomore Tim Clancy fired in his first goal of the year off an assist by junior David Yates at 34:53, upping the lead to 2-0. LC would not slow down in the first half, as the Hornet men scored another goal, this time coming from freshman Adam Reynolds, assisted by freshman Brandon Webster.

The Hornets tacked on an insurance goal with 10 minutes left, as John Paul Lopez scored from Berkay Kasal.

LC out-shot Shenandoah (0-11/0-4 ODAC) 18-5 and held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.  

The Hornet men (4-4-2/2-1-1) will be back at home on Wednesday at when they will compete against Guilford College at 4 p.m. in ODAC play.
