Stafford County Sun: LC Men's Soccer has Strong Stafford Flavor

The Stafford County Sun released a story on Thursday on Lynchburg men's soccer sophomores Tim Clancy and Zack Miller. Below is an excerpt from David Driver's story.

"The Division III Lynchburg College men's soccer team entered this season as a fairly young team, even though the Hornets lost just two main seniors from the 2012 squad.

So perhaps it would have been hard to predict what happened Sept. 18, when Lynchburg beat non-conference foe Salisbury of Maryland 2-1 in overtime in Woodbridge.

"They were ranked," Colonial Forge High graduate Tim Clancy said of Salisbury, an annual power in the mid-Atlantic region. "It was huge for us."

The Hornets built on that momentum with a 3-0 league win on Sept. 21 against Randolph-Macon of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC)."
