LC Men's Tennis Defeats Ferrum 5-2

FERRUM, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team traveled to face Ferrum College on Thursday and defeated the Panthers 5-2.

Seniors Derek Kegerreis and Owen Landon teamed up to win 8-5 at #2 doubles, while freshman Tyler Long and junior Matt Karvelas competed at #3 doubles, winning 8-1.

Kegerreis was also successful at #2 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1 while Long notched a 6-2, 6-2 win at #5 singles. Junior Hyun Suk Lee won at #6 singles 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.

Freshman Josh Johnson competed at #3 singles and was up 6-2, 4-2, but the match was not finished. Landon was up 6-4, 1-1 at #4 singles, but that match also went unfinished.

The Hornet men (2-0) will look to continue their early success as they travel to face Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Bridgewater College on Saturday at noon.
