The Lynchburg College Softball team spent Thursday night at Grace Church with members of the Challenged Sports Exchange. The Challenged Sports Exchange provides recreational activities and sports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or physical challenges in the Central Virginia region. This organization provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities including basketball, fishing, golf, bowling, tennis, basketball, and T-ball.
The players and coaches line danced with these individuals to a variety of songs including the YMCA, the cupid shuffle, the electric slide, and the cha-cha slide. The softball team looks forward to volunteering with the Challenged Sports Exchange during the spring to spend time with these individuals when T-ball season begins in April.
