Q and A with Hornet of the Week Kayla St. John
The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The 36th student-athlete selected this year is softball freshman Kayla St. John.
St. John had a great Atlanta Regional for the Hornets to earned all-tournament honors. She batted .444 over the three games with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored.
You were named to the Atlanta Regional All-Tournament Team, the only Hornet to do so. What was it like to homer in your first NCAA tournament and how did it feel to pick up a win against Agnes Scott?
It felt great to hit it! And winning against Agnes Scott was a great accomplishment by the entire team. We knew we had to win in order to stay in the tournament.
