Forest, Va. -- The Lynchburg Women's Lacrosse program had five players recognized as All-Conference honorees in the Wednesday release by the conference office. Sophomore Alicia Sandoval earned First Team while her fellow attacker, senior Laura Meisner, earned Second Team along with junior Dorrie MacGregor and junior Rachel Henderson. Senior Helen Boniface rounded out the Lynchburg honorees, capturing Third Team. This is Boniface's third straight All-Conference selection while Meisner and Henderson earn the nod for the second straight year.
Sandoval led the Hornets in goals (40) and assists (21), recording six games with at least four goals while finishing the season ranked Top 5 in the conference in goals and assists as well. Also on the Hornet attack, Meisner recorded 35 goals and 19 assists, both second-best on the team. Meisner registered a career-high six points thanks in large part to a career-high five goals against Randolph-Macon on April 29th.
MacGregor paced the Hornets this season in draw controls, winning 82 while also finishing second on the team in ground balls with 37. Henderson and Boniface were stalwarts on the back line for Lynchburg, both starting in all 17 games and combining for 70 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers.
