Dessi Dupuy Named ODAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

LYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College sophomore Dessi Dupuy was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday.

Dupuy helped the Hornets to a pair of league wins last week. The reigning ODAC Co-Rookie of the Year opened her week with a tally in LC's 3-0 home win over Emory & Henry Wednesday. She followed that by scoring in the closing minute of the Hornets' 1-0 double-overtime victory at Bridgewater Saturday. She notched the game's lone goal with just 52-seconds left in the second overtime session. Dupuy, who helped LC stay undefeated on the season, now has seven goals and is third on the team with 16 points.

Dupuy earned two ODAC Player of the Week honors last season, en route to leading the league in points, points per game, goals and goals per game.

Lynchburg hosts Randolph-Macon College Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a battle of teams in the top half of the conference standings.
