#11 Lynchburg Cruises to 7-0 Victory over Guilford

LYNCHBURG, VA – The 11th-ranked Lynchburg College women's soccer team rode a strong team performance to a 7-0 victory over Guilford College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action Wednesday.

Lynchburg started the scoring early when Dessi Dupuy netted a goal off a Jenn Snyder assist at 2:27. The Hornets would add two more scores on the first half on goals by Jessie Gonzalez and Nicole Kopsidas.

Rachel Sadowski scored off a rebound three minutes into the second half before Mary Beier made it 5-0 when she tallied a goal off a corner kick at 66:22. Erin Benson and Marina Clark rounded out the scoring in the second half.

Elizabeth Oden, Daisy Thomas, Clark, Beier, and Gonzalez all contributed assists to the Hornet effort.

Abby Gove made an impressive 25 saves for the Quakers (1-13/1-6).

Lynchburg outshot Guilford 66-1 and held a 20-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Hornets (12-1/6-0) host Bridgewater College (7-5/4-2) Saturday at 1 p.m.
