Hornet Women Drop Close 5-4 Match to E&H

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's tennis team competed hard against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Emory & Henry College on Saturday, but came up just short, losing 5-4.

LC won by default in matches at #5 singles, #6 singles and #3 doubles. Freshman Carter Vaughn played at #4 singles and earned a decisive 6-1, 6-4 victory over Lauren Riner. Junior Melissa Drinkard notched three games at #1 singles and junior Madison Dixon won two games at the #3 flight.

The LC women's tennis team ends the year with a 3-10 overall record and 2-9 mark in the conference.
