LC Volleyball Stays Hot, Defeats Crosstown Rival

LYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College volleyball expanded the gap in game scores as the evening went on, defeating Randolph College 25-18, 25-17, 25-12 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action Wednesday night.

Sophomore Brittany Crawford had possibly the best night in her college career, leading the team in digs with 12, while collecting a career high 11 kills in her three sets of action. Crawford collected an ace in the victory.

The Hornets had 39 kills on the evening, with 14 of those coming in the third game.

Rachel Turk once again led the team in assists with 21. Aricquel Payne had eight kills. Sierra Strathy added six.

Jordan Templin had eight kills for the WildCats (2-15/0-5). Andrea Mewhinney sent out 13 assists while Celine Rhodes had three aces.

Lynchburg (13-4/5-2) plays Frostburg State at 4 p.m. on Friday in the Goucher Tournament before playing McDaniel at 6 p.m.
