The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The sixth student-athlete selected this year is volleyball sophomore Brittany Crawford.
Crawford helped the Hornets go 4-1 on the week. Against Randolph College, she led the team in digs with 12, while collecting a career high 11 kills in her three sets of action. Crawford played exceptionally well in the Goucher Invitational. She was named to the all-tournament teams for her efforts.
How do you think being a student-athlete has affected you personally?
The opportunty of being a student-athlete here at LC has affected my personally by teaching me the importance of time management. The experience has taught me how important it is to work hard not only on the court but also in the classroom.
What is your favorite moment thus far as a Hornet?
My favorite moment as Hornet thus far was earning the position as an outside hitter. The likelihood of being an outside hitter at 5'3" are slim to none and I am thankful I earned this position for my team.
What do you like most about LC volleyball?
What I like most about LCVB is the sense of family that we share. The relationship on our team has developed into a sisterhood and a bond that will never be forgot. My teammates are like my family away from home and I know that I can always count on them to be there for me on and off the court.
What are your aspirations after graduation?
After graduation I plan to apply to a graduate program in hopes to pursue a degree in physical therapy.
