Emory & Henry Rallies to Defeat LC VB in Four

EMORY, VA - The Emory & Henry College volleyball team dropped the first set but rallied to win the next three Saturday over visiting Lynchburg College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. The final score was 24-26, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Junior Aricquel Payne slammed a match-high 21 kills for LC and added 14 digs. Amanda Perry had seven kills and 15 digs and Jennifer Garrett also had seven kills. Gabby Myers distributed 26 assists and added 10 digs and Mackenzie Ross posted 12 assists, eight digs and six blocks. Sam Page had 17 digs and Sierra Strathy was just one block shy of tying a school record, finishing with 11.

Nicole Tesh led a balanced Waps offensive attack with 14 kills.  Maleah Neely had 45 assists for E&H (7-1 / 2-0 ODAC).

Lynchburg (4-7 / 1-2) hosts Washington & Lee University Wednesday evening in another ODAC match at 6:30 p.m.
