Hornet Women's XC Begins 2012 Season at EMU

PENN LAIRD, VA – The Lynchburg College women's cross country team opened the 2012 season Friday evening at the Eastern Mennonite University Invitational, hosted at Peakview Park.

The Lynchburg women placed third out of nine teams with 65 points. Hannah Chappell-dick won the race from EMU with top time of 24:53. Hornets were led by freshman Leidy J. Arias Bernal, followed by Kiley Trennepohl, Ashley Saba, Adrian Walker and Suki Hoffman to round out the top five.

The Hornets will travel to Iona College Saturday, September 15.
