Alvis and Women's Cross Country Earn NCAA All-Academic

Lynchburg, Va. -- The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and the NCAA announced the Cross Country All-Academic Teams for the 2016 season and the Lynchburg Women's team earned team honors while sophomore Morgan Alvis earned the accolade individually.

The team finished the season with a cumulative GPA of 3.51 while Alvis, who finished 5th at the ODAC Championship and earned a spot at the Regional meet, completed the Fall semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

This marks the second straight year that both Alvis and the team have earned All-Academic honors.
