Michela Cholak runs in the Paul Short 6k race in Bethlehem, Pa.

Bethlehem, Pa. -- Sophomore Michela Cholak (Ocean Township, N.J.) became the third-fastest women's cross country runner ever to race the 6k for Lynchburg College's program Friday afternoon at Lehigh University's Paul Short Invitational, leading the Hornets to a 12th-place team finish in the NCAA Division II/III Brown women's race.

The LC men ran to 24th in the Brown 8k competition.

Freshman Stephanie Burnett (Midlothian, Va.) also jumped into LC's all-time top 10, finishing 70th with a time of 23:27. That career-best run put Burnett eighth in the Hornets' 6k record book.

Tristan Lucy-Speidel (Fort Valley, Va.) once again paced the LC men, running the 8k course in 26:24 to place 102nd.

Sophomore Ethan Batchelor (Parkton, Md.) wasn't far behind, running a career-best 27:06 for 135th place.
