Reid Sharkey opened the indoor track season with a bang at Roanoke’s Bast-Cregger Invitational, busting out a personal-best in the 3,000-meter run (8:35.55). The senior won the event and moved into fourth on the Lynchburg all-time top times list. We’ll call that a Hornet of the Week performance. Let’s get to know the Fairfax native:
