Lynchburg enters the 2018-19 campaign in search of its eighth-straight winning season. The Hornets will try to get back to the ODAC tournament's semifinal round for the first time since 2016, when they captured the league title.

One All-ODAC performer returns for Scott in senior forward Connor Schroeder (Blacksburg, Va.), who averaged 15.8 points per game and shot 42.9 percent from 3-point territory as a junior.

Lynchburg also brings back seven other players who started games in 2017-18, led by senior guard Devante' Young (Charlotte, N.C.) and junior guard Chance Greene (Creedmoor, N.C.), both of whom started 20-plus games a season ago.

The Hornets will tip off this season at home on Thursday, Nov. 8 with a non-conference affair against ODAC newcomer Ferrum (The two teams will meet later in the season for the league installment of the rivalry.) beginning at 7 p.m.
