Camp Lejeune, N.C. -- University of Lynchburg's men's golf team enjoyed a record-setting weekend for the second-straight year at the Camp Lejeune Invitational, a three-round tournament at the U.S. Marine Corps base's Paradise Point Golf Course.
Lynchburg's team capped off a first-place finish in the Scarlet Course championship round Sunday with a team score of 276, two strokes better than the team's record-setting performance at the 2018 invitational and a new team round record.
Hornets junior Carter Old (Chesapeake, Va.) also etched his name into the Lynchburg record book with a Sunday 5-under-par 65, a new program single-round record.
Freshman Harry Hodgert (Lynchburg, Va.) finished out Sunday's team score with a 3-over 73.
