Louisville, Ky. -- For the second time in the 2019 season, a University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse player has been honored on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Division III Team of the Week, the USILA announced Tuesday afternoon.
Junior attackman Colin Dean (Havre de Grace, Md.) was one of 10 players included on the weekly honor roll after a five-goal, three-assist effort in Lynchburg's two games at the Mustang Classic in Owings Mills, Md., over the weekend.
Dean began the weekend with two goals and an assist in the Hornets' 11-9 come-from-behind win over No. 20 Stevenson and followed the next day with a hat trick and two assists against No. 7-ranked Wesleyan (Conn.)
Through eight games, Dean sits third on the Lynchburg team in both goals (13) and assists (11).
Lynchburg's team is currently ranked No. 18 in the USILA coaches poll.
