The visiting Hornets made it 3-0 in the 24th minute when senior midfielder Dan Friedberg (Blacksburg, Va.) played a high ball over the top that Mackey ran down and finished from the right side of the box.
Lynchburg enters the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament as the No. 2 seed and will play host to the to-be-determined seventh seed Sunday, Oct. 28. The time of the match will be determined later this week.
