Hilton Head Island, S.C. -- University of Lynchburg's men's tennis team wrapped up Spring Tennis Fest Thursday with a 6-3 loss to Mount Union at Hilton Head High School.

The Hornets fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, the lone point coming at No. 2 as freshman Daniel Christian (Jamestown, N.C.) and senior Nick Savino (Bristol, Conn.) won their set, 8-4.

Christian got the Lynchburg men into the win column at the No. 4 singles, 3-6, 6-0, 1-0 (8).

Sophomore Vincent Oliver (Springfield, Va.) won Lynchburg's third point at No. 5 singles, a hard-fought 3-6, 7-6 (4), 1-0 (8) win that required a couple of tiebreaking games.

The Hornets come out of Spring Break with a 4-3 record on the 2019 season. They will travel to Lexington, Va., for a date with the defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference-champion Washington and Lee Generals Tuesday, March 19 in a resumption of league play.
