Bristol, Tenn. -- University of Lynchburg's men's tennis team cruised to a 6-2 victory over Emory & Henry Sunday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play at the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club.
The Hornets took an early lead with a pair of early doubles wins and took four of five in singles play to nail down the victory.
Senior Colton Mullins (Appomattox, Va.) and sophomore Daniel Christian (Jamestown, N.C.) teamed up for an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, and seniors Bryce Barber (Evington, Va.) and Brad Carson (Severna Park, Md.) won in a tiebreak, 8-7 (4), at the top dual flight.
Mullins won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and Christian cruised at No. 3, 6-0, 6-1, to give the Hornets a commanding lead.
The Hornets will hit the road for another ODAC match Wednesday, April 3 at Guilford. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Greensboro, N.C. campus.
