Louisville, Ky. -- University of Lynchburg senior Taylor Mabry (Bassett, Va.) is one of 50 players included on the initial 2019 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division III National Player of the Year Watch List, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Monday morning.
The Hornets' third baseman is one of 26 returning NFCA All-Americans included on the watch list and one of 25 seniors included.
She is one of four Old Dominion Athletic Conference players in the elite group.

Mabry was a second-team NFCA All-American as a junior last year and also earned all-region, All-State, and All-ODAC honors. She hit .395 with 10 home runs and 36 RBI last year as Lynchburg went 30-14 and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III national tournament.
The slugger helped Lynchburg start the 2019 season strong Saturday with three hits, three RBI, and a stolen base as the Hornets swept Methodist on the road.
