Louisville, Ky. -- Two University of Lynchburg sluggers earned first-team spots on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division III All-Atlantic Region team, the NFCA announced Wednesday afternoon.

She is hitting .396 in 49 games with a team-high 61 hits. The all-region honor tacks onto a long list of awards for Chitwood in 2019, including the NCAA Virginia Beach Regional's Most Outstanding Player and first-team All-ODAC accolades.
Mabry earns her repeat spot on the first team with career-highs in home runs (15), RBI (40), hits (57), runs (36) and walks (29). The former All-American was on the regional and ODAC all-tournament teams and was a first-team all-conference selection.
The two power hitters played a huge role in Lynchburg's second-ever NCAA regional title, combining for 11 home runs and 27 RBI in postseason play with a combined .411 batting average.
The 17th-ranked Hornets will play host to No. 18 Emory University in the Lynchburg, Virginia Super Regional this coming weekend. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, May 17 at 2 p.m. with Games 2 and 3, if necessary, scheduled for Saturday.
