Forest, Va. -- After posting the league's top times in both the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run over the weekend, University of Lynchburg senior Endasia Mitchell (Perry Hall, Md.) earned the Old Dominon Athletic Conference track athlete of the week honor, ODAC officials announced Monday afternoon.
Mitchell enjoyed quite the weekend at the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington, Va., finishing in the top 10 in both the 400m and 800m.
Her 58.79-second 400m ranks 43rd nationally and is the only ODAC race of the season under a minute. She finished 10th in that race.
Mitchell also raced the 800m in 2:20.1 to finish seventh in the event and narrowly grab league-leader status in that event as well.
It is Mitchell's first-career ODAC runner of the week honor.
