Forest, Va. -- University of Lynchburg junior Kevin Moran (Milford, N.J.) kept the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's men's track athlete of the week award with the Hornets, the league released Monday.
Moran hurdled his way to the honor, setting a new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles (54.78) to claim seventh at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Friday afternoon. The mark improved his own eighth-best run in the Lynchburg program history.
The long hurdles run followed an impressive 110-meter hurdles jaunt in which he finished 13th in 15.4 seconds.
Both times top the ODAC's outdoor leaderboard.
Moran also competed on Lynchburg's 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relays at the meet, helping both to 11th-place finishes.
Lynchburg track & field has claimed six of the eight total weekly honors from the conference two weeks into the outdoor season.
