HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a slow start for both teams, Naumann's layup with 6:41 left in the first period gave LC a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Lynchburg went on a 10-2 run midway through the period to extend its lead.
- The Hornets went on an 8-0 run early in the second to take a commanding 28-12 lead, and Lynchburg carried that momentum into halftime ahead 11. Naumann led all scorers at halftime with nine points.
- Lynchburg doubled up on Bridgewater in the third, winning the period by a 15-7 count. The Hornets led by as much as 21 late in the quarter.
- Bridgewater chipped away at the lead, starting the fourth on a 13-2 run. Briana Moore's layup with 1:02 remaining in the game cut the deficit to seven points, but that was as close as the Eagles would get.
Lynchburg will stay at home on Wednesday, Jan. 31 as the Hornets play host to Guilford College in a rematch of the last two ODAC championship tilts. The game starts at 7 p.m.
