Bloomington, Minn. -- University of Lynchburg senior Molly Shephard (Charottesville, Va.) earned a spot on the D3hoops.com All-South Region third team, the website announced Monday.
Shephard was one of 15 players honored from the South Region, four of which came from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
The 5-10 forward led Lynchburg to a 13-13 record in 2018-19 and an 11-7 mark in ODAC play. She averaged 15.6 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game to garner first-team all-conference honors along with all-tournament team accolades at the Kean Classic and Lynchburg Holiday Classic.
The three-time All-ODAC performer graduates from the program as the all-time leader in field-goal percentage (51.7) and ranks in Lynchburg's career top 10 in points (1,110), rebounds (635), and blocked shots (45).
She was named ODAC player of the week January 21.
Shephard is the third player in Lynchburg women's basketball history to earn an all-region spot in the 18-year history of the D3hoops.com teams.
