Nock scored a pair of consecutive goals to give LC a 6-3 lead with 6:51 left before halftime. After a Shorewomen goal, Trevisan netted a free-position shot at the buzzer to put LC up 7-4 at the break.
Washington scored the first five goals out of halftime, holding Lynchburg scoreless in the second period until Suter's free-position shot with 2:41 remaining made it 9-8 in favor of the hosts.
The Shorewomen added an insurance goal 10 seconds later and held off a pair of Lynchburg shots in the waning minutes to secure the win.
Lynchburg will head back north to the Old Line State on Monday, March 5, this time traveling to McDaniel for a non-conference affair. First draw will be at 4 p.m. at the Westminster, Md., campus.
