Lynchburg, Va -- The University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team dominated Gwynedd Mercy, 18-3, on Shellenberger Field Wednesday afternoon.
Senior attackman Alicia Sandoval (Montclair, Va.) lead the Hornets with four goals, three assists, and two caused turnovers.
Junior attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) picked up three goals and two assists for the Hornets, while senior attackman Kelsey Nock (Salisbury, Md.) also collected three goals for her first-career hat trick.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynchburg took over the Griffins early in the first half. Sandoval scored back-to-back unassisted goals in the first five minutes of play.
The Hornets gave up one goal to the Griffins and then went on a 13-point scoring spree deep into the first half. Gwynedd Mercy managed to score another goal before going into halftime.
Lynchburg kept the momentum rolling into the second half as Trevisan scored two consecutive goals for the Hornets with assists from Sandoval and junior midfielder Danielle Hook (Alexandria, Va.). Gavin ended the half for the Hornets with an unassisted goal, the first of her career.
The Hornets will play again on Shellenberger Field Saturday March 9 at 2 p.m. against the Columbia College Koalas.
