Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team dominated the Ferrum Panthers with a 21-4 win on Shellenberger Field Saturday afternoon.
Junior attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) led the Hornets with four goals and three assists. Senior midfielders Hannah Creasey (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Kaleigh Ridgley (Reistertown, Md.) each added three goals of their own.
Final: Lynchburg 21, Ferrum 4

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynchburg got the game started early in the first half, scoring eight consecutive goals before Ferrum got on the board. Creasey scored back-to-back goals in less than a minute, one with an assist from Trevisan. The Hornets ended the half ahead 12-2 after a last-second, man-down goal by sophomore attackman Brigid Gavin (Stafford, Va.).
Lynchburg continued to expand its lead far into the second half. Junior midfielder Danielle Hook (Alexandria, Va.) picked up consecutive goals.
The Hornets will travel to Ashland, Va., Wednesday, April 10 to face off against the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets at 6 p.m.
