Bridgewater, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team started quickly and kept the pressure on Saturday on its way to a 17-8 throttling of Bridgewater in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Senior defender Allie O'Leary (Salisbury, Md.) snagged nine draw controls and caused three turnovers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynchburg took an early 2-0 lead as Trevisan and senior midfielder Hannah Creasey (Virginia Beach, Va.) scored, but the Eagles fought back to tie the game at 2 in the first 10 minutes.
The Hornets responded with a 9-1 run in the remainder of the first half to take control of the game. Sandoval and Trevisan each scored a first-half hat trick.
Hook began the scoring in the second half as Lynchburg outscored BC, 6-5, in the second 30 minutes.
The Hornets will return home Wednesday, April 24 for the final home contest of 2019 against Virginia Wesleyan. First draw on Shellenberger Field is scheduled for 5 p.m.
