Grand Lake, Colo. -- University of Lynchburg senior Allie O'Leary (Salisbury, Md.) was one of 44 players nationwide to be selected for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association's Division III Senior All-Star Game, the IWLCA announced Friday morning.
O'Leary, a defender, will compete for the Division III South team Saturday, June 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the U.S. Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.
A first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference player in 2019, O'Leary ranked tops on the Hornets in draw controls (76) and ground balls (42) and was second on the team in caused turnovers (21).
She was a two-time all-conference player for the Hornets and was also Lynchburg women's lacrosse's 2018-19 All-American Strength & Conditioning Athlete of the Year.
Lynchburg finished the season with a 9-8 record and a 6-3 mark in ODAC play. It was the program's fifth-straight winning season.
