Kansas City, Mo. -- The United Soccer Coaches named University of Lynchburg women's soccer player Alyssa Rudy to its third-team All-South Atlantic Region team, the organization announced Monday afternoon.
Rudy, a senior from Greencastle, Pa., ranked second on the Hornets with seven goals this past season, and her four assists tied for the team lead. She had a pair of two-goal matches -- Sept. 8 versus Kalamazoo and Oct. 24 at Randolph-Macon.
She was a second-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference performer for Lynchburg, and the all-region nod is the first in her career.
Rudy finished her career with 16 goals and six assists and helped the Hornets to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances in 2016 and 2018.
Lynchburg has seen at least one player named all-region each season since 1995.
