LC Track and Field Competes at the Marietta Open
MARIETTA, OH – The Lynchburg College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Marietta Open on Saturday hosted by Marietta College.
The women's team had a record-setting day, which included a new school record in the 4X200 meter race. Sophomore Jasmyne Johnson won the 400m, while senior Christina Washington won the 400m. Sophomore Emily Davis had a career-best throw in the shotput, and sophomore Kelsey Hughes had a career-best throw in the weight throw.
On the men's side, sophomore Rachad Davis finished second overall in the meet. Freshman Zachary Kezar won the long jump and freshman Jared Bloomquist won the high jump. Senior Ralph Davis had his career-best throws in the weight throw and the shotput. Lynchburg ended up sweeping the first three spots in the weight throw.
