Roanoke, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg volleyball team defeated Hollins, 18-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12, in four sets Wednesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup.
Junior right side Lindsey Lang (Poquoson, Va.) led the Hornets with 15 kills at the net followed by junior outside Sydney Frink (Chester, Va.) and freshman right side Emma Drake (Newsoms, Va.) who each collected 13 kills. Frink also earned 16 digs and one block. Junior setter Erin Farina (Crozet, Va.) racked up 36 assists and 14 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynchburg led the first set 8-6 before Hollins came back to take their only set of the evening, 25-18.
After struggling in the first Lynchburg turned it around and took the next two sets 25-15 and 25-16. Frink put down five kills in the second stanza.
The Hornets stole the show in the fourth, totaling 20 kills, bringing Lynchburg to a 25-12 win.
Lynchburg will travel to Lexington, Va., Saturday for a pair of matches, a noon ODAC date with Washington and Lee and a non-conference match with Stevenson at 2:15 p.m.
