Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg athletics and head volleyball coach Elizabeth Ellinger are excited to announce the Hornets' 2019 volleyball schedule.

Lynchburg will tip off the season with a pair of tournaments on the road -- Eastern Mennonite's Route 42 Classic on Aug. 30-31 and Gallaudet's invitational Sept. 6-7 -- before returning home Wednesday, Sept. 11 to make its Turner Gymnasium debut at 6:30 p.m. against defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion Washington and Lee.

Non-conference home dates follow in September with Mary Baldwin and Southern Virginia and in early October against William Peace.

Lynchburg will also welcome conference opponents Guilford, Hollins and Virginia Wesleyan in October.

A young 2018 Hornets squad played to a 13-15 record, 7-5 in conference play, and captured the No. 6 seed in the ODAC tournament.
