Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's volleyball team suffered a 25-19, 32-30, 25-19 sweep at the hands of Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday night at home.
Alexis Davies-Hackenberg highlighted the Hornets' stat sheet with 18 assists, seven digs, and two aces. Emma Drake and Sydney Frink each tallied nine kills for Lynchburg as well.
Three players led Virginia Wesleyan with eight kills apiece, led by Greta Coss, who also chipped in four blocks.
Wednesday's match was Lynchburg's benefit for the breast cancer support nonprofit Twisted Pink. Donations can be made online at www.twistedpink.org.
Lynchburg's volleyball team will hit the road Friday for another ODAC match at Ferrum.
